Standard DBS Disclosure

Required For : Legal, Accountancy.
Contains : Convictions, cautions, reprimands and warnings.
Information held in England and Wales, most relevant convictions in Scotland and Northern Ireland may also be included


Enhanced DBS Disclosure

Required For : Frequent contact with children / vulnerable adults, Teacher, Scout / Guide Leader, Carer, Gaming / Gambling Industry
Contains : Convictions, cautions, reprimands, warnings, Childrens & Vulnerable Adults Barred lists check, Local police force information.
Information held in England and Wales, most relevant convictions in Scotland and Northern Ireland may also be included


What if I Haven’t Received My Certificate?

If you haven’t received your certificate once it has been dispatched then you will need to call us on 01323 729 922 and we will discuss the next step.

Please note an administration fee of £4.99 + VAT may be charged and a subject access report may be required to be completed, in the event of a missing certificate.


DBS Checks / CRB Checks for Self Employed and Individuals

Due to current legislation self employed / individuals are not permitted to apply for a DBS Check on themselves. Below are some of the options available to the self employed and individuals looking to obtain a DBS / CRB Check

  • Agency: A self-employed person can apply for a DBS / CRB Check by registering with an agency, the agency would then apply for the disclosure instead of the individual.
  • Basic Check: Individuals can obtain a basic check from the DBS Scotland website www.disclosurescotland.co.uk/apply/individuals/
  • Subject Access: Individuals are able to request a “e; subject access “e; request to their local police force which will provide details of any criminal records, this information is available under the Data Protect Act of 1998.
